A good reminder.
Is that Merv Tweed's son, Charles Tweed, reporting, btw? Kind of looks like him. Just wondered if anyone knows.. |

| | | Basically | | |
when they asked residents if Brandon has air service to Winnipeg, most said no. Most likely because they don't know about Perimeter Airlines that fly here twice a day 5 days a week. And in a phone interview with the President of Perimeter, he says they started with a cargo contract back in the early 70's, and started passenger service in 77-78 when they got the Fairchild Metro. They get an average of 150-200 passengers a month from Dauphin, while Brandon is 2-12 a month. And they advertise about the same in both cities. He does say, if you really need a car in Winnipeg to get around it's better to drive there.
Perimeter use thier own terminal on Ferry which to get to the main terminal you would have to get a taxi. That's the one draw back I see with them. |

great to see that a story was done on this. Finally. So many brandonites are nay-sayers about lack of air service, but have had their heads up their rear ends and don't realize whats actually here. Or what is actualy feasible. |

Looks like $144 one way.
Perimeter serves many northern Manitoba communities.

Has anyone used this service lately? How long does the flight take? Is there a very long stopover at Dauphin on the way to or from Winnipeg? |

I meant, is he related to Merv because he kind of resembles him and, of course, the same surname...
Sorry for the diversion. Has anyone used the service to Winnipeg? |
